Position Overview

The UNC School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology invites applications for an Open Rank Pediatric Ophthalmologist position. The role involves outpatient care, surgical responsibilities, and teaching of residents and medical students. Clinical sites include UNC Kittner Eye Center and other UNC Eye locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and surgical care to pediatric patients.
• Engage in clinical and / or bench research.
• Teach and supervise residents and medical students.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Prerequisites include graduation from an approved ophthalmology residency program and a 1- or 2-year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology. The candidate must hold board certification or be eligible, and be eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
