Job Description

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized role is available for a Cardiovascular Technologist trained in invasive cardiac procedures within a dynamic cath lab environment. This contract position is based in Rochester, NY, offering a unique opportunity to engage in advanced cardiac interventions and mechanical circulatory support therapies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare procedure rooms and maintain sterile fields for cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Set up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment, anticipating procedural needs.
  • Operate complex cardiac equipment and maintain sterile instruments.
  • Function in various procedural team roles, including scrub, circulator, and documenter / monitor.
  • Support a wide range of interventions including Right and Left Heart Hemodynamics, CTO PCI, Pericardiocentesis, and Structural Heart procedures such as TAVR and MitraClip.
  • Provide critical care support within the cath lab setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Proven mechanical circulatory support experience with devices such as ECMO, Impella, IABP, and others.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentials or grandfathered status within NYS Public Health Law 2824 preferred.

    • Schedule :

  • Primarily full-time days with late shifts and on-call requirements.
  • 10-hour shifts.
