Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a hospital-based day shift assignment requiring current FL or compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care, teaching hospital
  • Care for a broad surgical patient population
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 6 : 30 to 18 : 30
  • Floating required to all three area hospitals within 20 miles
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Ceil blue scrubs required
  • On-call required 2-3 days per week
  • Assist in a variety of surgical procedures and ensure patient safety throughout perioperative care
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • All requested time off must be declared prior to consideration
  • Strict smoke-free and nicotine-free policy enforced
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space
  • Assignment cannot exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location, with a 6-month waiting period before returning
  • Orientation includes required EKG and Pharm testing; study materials provided
  • Team environment with support from supervisors and unit leadership

  • Active FL or compact RN license required at time of application
  • Minimum 2 years of recent operating room RN experience preferred, 18 months required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
  • NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
  • Successful completion of EKG and Pharm test during orientation, with a maximum of two attempts
  • Must be nicotine free with a negative 10 panel + nicotine (cotinine) drug screen completed within 12 months prior to start
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • No pending licenses accepted
