As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by routinely patrolling assigned educational locations. You will monitor access points, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly to support the needs of the community. Pay Rate : $21.59 - $22.59 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeFri07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PMSat07 : 30 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within educational facilities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity and / or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, staff, and students with directions and general inquiries as part of daily interactions.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying authorized personnel, as required.
  • Collaborate with school or educational staff to address security-related needs and maintain a presence that helps to deter inappropriate behavior.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
