Job description

We are the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and we are looking for a full‑time, board‑certified Gastroenterologist to provide high‑quality care to our veterans.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Active, current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state.

Highlights Of This Opportunity

  • Potential starting base salary range : $250,000 – $400,000 per year.
  • Permanent full‑time position.
  • Daily schedule Monday – Friday (exact hours to be discussed during interview).
  • Sign‑on bonus for highly qualified applicants.
  • Student loan repayment assistance.

    • Duties Include

  • History taking and physical examinations on admission.
  • Progress note documentation.
  • Screening patients for endoscopy / colonoscopy procedures.
  • Providing care to patients in the gastroenterology outpatient clinic under the supervision of the attending physician and within the defined scope of practice.
  • Performing endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
  • No physician employment contract; no significant restriction on moonlighting.

    • Benefits and Compensation

    Up to 55 days of paid annual leave, affordable health, vision, dental, life and long‑term care insurance, 12 weeks of paid paternity / maternity leave, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and more. Federal employment allows eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness after 10 years of service.

    Base salary : $250,000 per year.
