Responsibilities Position is located in an Observation / Med-Surg unit of a hospital setting Patient population consists of observation status and medical-surgical patients Shifts are 12 hours, 7 : 00AM to 7 : 30PM, with three day shifts per week EPIC electronic medical record system is used and prior experience is required Level 1 Trauma hospital environment Responsibilities include initial assessment, plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with unit standards Maintains accurate documentation of all nursing care delivered Delegates and validates completion of patient care tasks by support staff Prioritizes patient safety with adherence to precautionary measures and quality standards Promotion of interdisciplinary communication and collaboration for effective patient care Maximum of 7 days of requested time off permitted per 13-week contract No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility Returning travelers who have worked continuously for one year must take a 6-month break before returning Requirements Active Illinois RN license; temporary licenses accepted Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum one year of relevant RN experience in a Med / Surg or Observation unit Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required Documented EPIC charting experience Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611671.
