  • Patient Demographics : Adults, critically ill ICU patients.
  • Patient Volume / Census : 10–15 ICU patients per APP per shift (with attending MD present).

  • Case Mix : General critical care / ICU.

    REQUIRED PROCEDURES :

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Licenses : Valid national and Georgia state licensure required.
  • Board : For NPs, Acute Care certification required.
  • DEA : Not specified, assumed required for prescriptive authority.
  • Certifications : National certification as ACNP or PA.
  • Experience : Minimum 1–2 years as an APP in an ICU setting.
  • Other Qualifications : Proficiency with ICU procedures; case logs for credentialing.

  • Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians on care planning and updates.
  • Conduct patient assessments and implement interventions.
  • Order entry and documentation in Cerner EMR.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and communicate findings.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary ICU rounds each shift.
  • Perform central and arterial line insertions per credentialing requirements.
