Location :  Cupertino or Culver City, CA

Schedule :  Hybrid schedule (Tuesday-Thursday)

Pay :   Up to $97 / hour DOE

Planet Interactive  is looking for a  UX Writer   to join our well known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract with the potential to go longer. This role will work 40 hours per week and will require you to be onsite 3 days per week in their Cupertino or Culver City office.

UX Writer Responsibilities :

  • Craft copy within existing tone, language, and design systems.
  • Deliver work on feature development, naming, user flows, product logic, and education for several projects at once.
  • Work day-to-day with the product design team on reviews, ideation, going over feature work and sketches.
  • Write in-app copy that takes technical information and is translated into friendly user experience content.
  • Manage multiple projects at once and ensure projects are being prioritized correctly.
  • Bring together customer goals, business requirements, and brand values into the copy that is being created.
  • Boil down complex systems into coherent, concise, and compelling interface copy.
  • Collaborate with designers to uncover and solve UI challenges.
  • Address feedback and improving performance of the content.
  • Take part in meetings and gather information from other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Consider how content resonates for iOS, web, and desktop.

UX Writer Qualifications :

  • At least 5+ years' experience within UX writing.
  • Portfolio showcasing work around commerce, subscriptions, checkout flows.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Sketch, Slack, and iOS.
  • Able to create flow charts and understand how broad systems work together.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experienced in offering and receiving feedback, and working closely with partners.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt for various audiences.
