Job Title : Maintenance Tech 2

Compensation : $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience and shift

Shifts Available FT Day shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in ensuring the safety, functionality, and comfort of our healthcare and residential facilities. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and operational environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to unanticipated facility needs to minimize risk and service disruption.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment.

Maintain compliance with safety procedures and local, state, and national codes.

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across multiple disciplines.

Electrical : Lighting, outlets, switches, panels, ATS, EPSS testing, medium voltage systems.

Plumbing : Fixtures, valves, faucets, toilets, drains.

HVAC : Filters, coils, compressors, VFDs.

Power Plant Systems : Boilers, chillers, water softeners.

General Maintenance : Carpentry, painting, workspace modifications, fire / smoke wall repairs.

Groundskeeping : Snow removal, exterior building upkeep.

Patient Care Equipment : Fire detection systems, pneumatic tube systems.

Backup Systems : Generators, UPS, SCADA, Power Logic software.

Mentor and coach other technicians.

Maintain inventory and documentation of parts and repairs.

Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergencies.

Attend training sessions and maintain certifications.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Skills & Competencies

Proven experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general property maintenance.

Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and maintenance software.

Effective communication with coworkers, residents, families, and contractors.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, stooping, bending, etc.).
