1-2 years Employment Type : Full-time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our practice.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chairside assisting, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols Assist dentists during various procedures including fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) Prepare and mix dental materials such as impressions, cements, and temporary materials Provide chairside support and anticipate dentist's needs during procedures Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans Manage patient records and update charts in dental software systems Schedule appointments and coordinate with the front office as needed Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and equipment Ensure compliance with OSHA and state dental board regulations Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited dental assisting program 3-5 years of experience as a dental assistant Current CPR certification X-ray certification (as required by state) Proficiency with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Preferred Qualifications Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential Expanded functions certification Experience with digital imaging Skills and Attributes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Compassionate and patient-focused approach Team player with professional demeanor Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health and dental insurance Paid time off Continuing education opportunities Retirement plan Powered by JazzHR
