We are looking for a detail-oriented part-time Credentialing Specialist to join a team on a contract basis in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for professionals who can efficiently handle credentialing tasks in a fast-paced, remote environment. The role involves working independently to support administrative processes related to healthcare credentialing.
Responsibilities :
- Manage credentialing tasks for healthcare providers, including new applications and re-credentialing processes.
- Ensure compliance with credentialing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize proprietary credentialing platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe software for administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and managers to address credentialing issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all credentialing activities.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation and information.
- Monitor credentialing progress and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Support audits and reviews related to credentialing processes.
- Work independently to prioritize and complete tasks within deadlines.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in credentialing or a related field.
- Proficiency in credentialing processes, including provider and physician credentialing.
- Familiarity with re-credentialing applications and procedures.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and credentialing platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of healthcare administration is preferred.
