Job Title : Electrical Technician III

The Electrical Technician III is responsible for installations, alterations, additions, and / or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the residential, commercial, and industrial electrical industry. The incumbent of this position is responsible for assigned field installations, alterations, additions, and / or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment. Incumbent performs this work within an established time frame and ensures that this work is done in conformance with quality work standards, project man-hours, and in the established company guidelines and within regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to report to assigned job site location on time as directed.
• Maintain and properly store tools and equipment.
• Proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Accurately organize materials and tools in order to maintain clean and neat work area.
• Has ability to erect and understand pulley systems to lift / move heavy objects.
• Must be capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or equipment.
• Accurately read labels, job site maps / directions, manuals, and written instructions.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Employee must be able to direct / train helpers & apprentices in proper work practices.
• Have skills to accurately direct the work of level 1, 2, 3 workers to meet production.
• Must have ability to plan and organize task in order to meet task deadlines.
• Ability to visualize completed work prior to installation.
• Must be able to perform accurate layout of electrical systems with code clearances.
• Have skill to accurately install duct banks and understand spacing requirements.
• Able to install panelboards and transformers.
• Understand the proper use / selection of cables for proper installation per NEC.
• Ability to perform material take-off's to accurately execute work in a timely manner.
• Must be able to communicate with Customer on issues and solutions.
• Must be able to troubleshoot.
