Job Summary
Provides high-level administrative support to the AVC / ED of the Research Park and EnterpriseWorks, as well as the Director of Entrepreneurship (DoE) and Associate Director of Operations (ADO). Oversee administrative functions with professionalism, judgment, and discretion while fostering strong stakeholder relationships. The Research Park / EnterpriseWorks serves 2,000+ individuals, advancing innovation, corporate engagement, and economic development for Illinois.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day workflow of the AVC / ED, DoE, and ADO with complex calendar management, exercising independent judgement and initiative in determining priorities and deadlines, organizing, and providing appropriate meeting correspondence.
Act as the initial point of contact for the AVC / ED and DoE providing high levels of customer service. Serve as an integral communication intake point and first point of contact for the department. Provide exceptional telephone and email support with a high degree of tact and technical knowledge.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships in a manner consistent with a workplace of dignity and respect.
Additional Physical Demands
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with continuous interruptions and background noise. Some light lifting is required.
Minimum Qualifications
1. High school graduation or equivalent.
2. Any one or any combination totaling five (5) years (60 months) from the following categories :
A. College course work in business, finance, accounting or a related field :
B. Progressively more responsible general or specialized office experience which included aspects of supervising staff or a job function, organizing, and performing duties that lead to knowledge of generally accepted office principles

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 0058 - Administrative Aide position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close date. The budgeted salary range for the position is $50,000 to $55,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
