Job descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for employees and visitors. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere. Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide assistance to customers and staff as needed. Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support store operations. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer - Retail Site Patrol - Flex
As a Security Officer in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls and more.
Position Type : Part Time
Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour
Job Schedule : DayTime Sat 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
