The Warehouse Lead supports and coordinates warehouse / shipping department activities to drive efficient operations on assigned shifts and areas. This includes addressing product and employee concerns, and problem resolving. This person supports Company's policies / procedures, while leveraging all CI processes and tools.
Leads a shift of team members while ensuring all processes and procedures are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards.
Oversees inventory accuracy to ensure customers receive the correct products, preventing under- or over-shipments. Supports customer trust and satisfaction by minimizing errors and product loss.
Perform employing training for new employees, current employees, actively communicating procedures and workflow. Document training progression to include training gaps and opportunities.
Monitor and communicate employees' work schedules to meet business needs. Provide scheduling support to backfill vacancies to minimize department operation disruption.
Recommend improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving the targeted Sales to Service Goals.
Perform all required SAP transactions, complete all required documentation.
Actively supports and guides team members in solving work-related issues, promoting collaboration to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Maintains time and shipping records as required. Prepare required reports.
Ensure the warehouse work areas are clean and organized at all times.
Collaborate, communicate, and provide cross-functional support with other departments to minimize warehouse operations disruption.
Perform back-up Shipping Clerk and Distribution Coordinator responsibilities when required.
Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Experience leading and following Safety / Security Policies and Procedures.
Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications, SAP a plus.
Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.

Physical abilities includes the ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods of time in a manufacturing facility.
Environment includes, wet, cold, hot, humid, chemicals, high noise controlled at TWA of 85dB, wear approved personal protective equipment.
Ability to coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees.
