University Surgical Center is hiring a Medical Assistant for GI Suites.

Job Summary : Assists with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature.

Required Skills :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical training.
• BLS certification required.
• One year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
• Interviewing skills.
• Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols.
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures.
• Ability to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture, EKG, in accordance with established clinical protocol.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and / or infection control standards.

Required Experience :
