Duration : Anticipated to be 12+ month contract

Pay Range : $20-45.00 / hr

Location : Must be open to toggling between locations in Virginia - Springfield / Warrenton / Culpepper (Virginia). However, we will try to prioritize a home location of Springfield or Warrenton if that is closest to the candidate.

Required Skills

• Ability to report to a cluster of remote, secured sites for 8-hour shifts between 600 and 1400 hours, Monday through Friday. Starting time and length of shift will be specified in scheduled escorting assignments.
• Currently holding an active top-secret clearance with a full scope polygraph (both CI and Lifestyle polygraphs) to escort persons who do not hold adequate security credentials within the secured facility as they perform onsite services.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to provide detailed written and verbal incident reports
• Ability to operate a two-way radio
• Ability to professionally interact with other personnel
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for 8-hour shifts in outdoor settings and all weather conditions.

Job Description

Security Specialist is responsible for escorting and monitoring visitors to secure site including access control through confirmation of identification, conducting inspection of visitors and hand-carried items, and maintaining line-of-sight on visitors at all times.

Currently holding an active top-secret clearance with full scope polygraph to escort persons who do not hold adequate security credentials within the secured facility as they perform onsite services.

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to provide detailed written and verbal incident reports

Ability to operate a two-way radio

Ability to professionally interact with other personnel

Ability to sit, stand or walk for 8-hour shifts in outdoor settings and all weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
