Position Overview
The Installation Manager oversees all field installation and service activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role manages the installation team, coordinates with production and project management, and ensures customer satisfaction during the final delivery of signage projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Scheduling
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily installation and service activities.
- Communicate assignments and changes directly to installers and helpers in a timely manner.
- Meet with Project Management weekly to produce rolling 2-week installation schedule.
- Coordinate with Production to ensure readiness of materials and equipment before dispatch.
- Adjust schedules to meet project deadlines, grand openings. weather conditions, or site restrictions.
- Utilize Tasks within our CRM system to task yourself & other departments
Quality & Customer Satisfaction
Be on-site for hole dig, hole inspection, and concrete pour.Ensure installations meet company quality standards and customer specifications.Ensure installer has completion checklist and has it completed by customer.Address and resolve customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.Team Management & Leadership
Perform interviews and provide hiring recommendations for installers and helpersSupervise installers, service technicians, and subcontractors.Train new team members on ALL department and company policies and procedures.Approve all installation team members logged hours within 48 hours.Provide continual coaching, training, and performance evaluations.Foster a safety-first, customer-focused culture among installation staff.Resource & Equipment Management
Ensure installation trucks, lifts, and tools are maintained, safe, and ready for use.Monitor inventory of installation hardware, tools, and supplies.Coordinate with Purchasing / Production for timely material availability.Remit receipts for ALL company purchases.Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA and DOT standards for all field activities.Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.Ensure crews have necessary PPE and certifications (lift, crane, CDL, etc.).Cross-Department Collaboration
Work closely with Sales and Project Management to clarify scope and installation requirements.Communicate with Production to resolve fabrication issues before site delivery.Collaborate with Production to ensure all job materials are staged in a defined location at least 24 hours prior to dispatchProvide feedback to Design and Production to prevent recurring field issues.
