Are you a skilled and dedicated Intervention Specialist seeking an exciting career opportunity? Birch Agency is hiring passionate professionals like you to make a positive impact on the lives of students. This is an onsite full-time contract position teaching Elementary and Middle school students in the Columbus, Ohio area in a leading charter school.

This position will split time between two campuses on the west side of Columbus.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

Skills :

  • Proven experience as a Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methodology
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Ability to act as mediator between children
  • Cool-tempered, friendly, reliable, and adaptable

    • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
  • Valid state (OH) teaching certification / license in Special Education
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations

    • Job Type : Full-time

    Pay : $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

    Expected hours : 37.5 per week
