Salary : $95k-$130k

Position Senior Electrical Estimator. Seeking an experienced electrical estimator with largeproject experience ($50M+) to lead the preconstruction effort in pursuit of hyperscale datacenter projects. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial viability ofelectrical projects by providing accurate and competitive bids.

Location - Candidate will report to one of our branch offices. This is an in-person position. The preferred office is the DC

Office (Beltsville, MD) but will consider our Philadelphia Office (Philadelphia, PA) or ourHamilton Office (Hamilton, NJ). Travel for this position is anticipated to be minimal and local.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyzing Project Documents - Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, andother project documents to understand the electrical needs of a project.
  • Estimating Costs - Determining the quantity of materials required, estimating laborcosts, and calculating other project-related expenses. Collaborate with operationsteam to ensure labor staffing plan and costs align with schedule requirements.
  • Developing Bids - Preparing detailed and competitive bids for electrical projects,considering all project requirements and potential risks.
  • Communicating with Stakeholders - Collaborating with project managers,subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Ensuring Compliance - Verifying that estimates adhere to relevant drawings,specifications, electrical codes, QAQC standards, and safety regulations.
  • Using Estimating Software Utilize Accubid software to assist in the calculation ofcosts and the preparation of estimates.
  • Integration of Project Performance Metrics Collaborate with operation team to usehistorical performance data of past or current projects to update labor units and coststo ensure overall estimate accuracy of future bids.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Technical Knowledge - Understanding of electrical systems, components, and relatedcodes and standards.
  • Blueprint Reading - Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and electricalblueprints.
  • Estimation Skills - Ability to accurately estimate labor, materials, and other projectcosts.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Managemen t - Ability to develop detailed RFPs and detailedscopes of work for 3rd party bids. Scope level bids received to ensure contractcompliance and inclusion of all necessary costs.
  • Communication Skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact withdirect reports, internal estimating and operations resources, clients and owners.
  • Software Proficiency Strong experience with Accubid estimating software and otherrelevant computer applications.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze project requirements and identify potentialchallenges or risks, including labor productivity impacts due to extended overtime,accelerated schedule and stacking of trades.
  • Attention to Detail - Accuracy and precision in preparing estimates and bids.
