Area Director
PCL's Life Services and Operations Team is hiring an Area Director (AD) for Polk and Marion Counties. Area Directors provide operational and administrative leadership to assigned Service Team Coordinators, the direct support professionals they supervise, and other assigned residential administrative support personnel. This role is part of PCL's Senior Level Management and is expected to work closely with other team members to ensure residential services, agency-wide, are supported and fulfilled, as directed by PCL's mission, playbook values, and the people receiving services. This role requires exceptional multitasking skills and firsthand knowledge of current requirements under the Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs). With a focus on robust mentoring and support, a successful Area Director embodies PCL's mission and values, proactively tackling challenges and empowering team members in their personal and professional journeystruly exemplifying PCL's commitment to service excellence.
Wage & Benefits : Annual salary of $66,000. Salary payments are made every other Friday (approx. $5,500 / month).

Skills and Qualifications :
Education Requirements : Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent of 4 years of relevant experience).Experience Requirements : At least 3 years of experience required in a position with similar oversight skills and abilities.Must be at least 18 years of age when starting employment.Must have and show competence in Microsoft and Google applications.Excellent organizational ability : strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize concurrent work on multiple projects.Professional, clear, and positive oral and written communication skills both expressive and receptive. with an emphasis on presentation skills.Knowledgeable of person-centered tools, philosophies, and Oregon's ISP process.Consistent, professional dress and manner.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines consistently.Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior.Dependable, reliable, and regular work attendance, and adherence to attendance policies.Clearly and quickly works through the complexity of key issues, problems, and opportunities to affect actions.Develops a long-range course of action or set of team / personal goals to align with the organization's vision.High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Area Director Duties :
Be knowledgeable of, promote, model, and adhere to PCL's Policies and Procedures.Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring, training, and coaching of Service Team Coordinators (STC) and other assigned PCL team members.Promote social justice and a positive person-centered culture that is in line with PCL's Mission, Values, and Playbook.Create positive interactions with team members, family members, and stakeholders.Ensure services are delivered in a manner consistent with PCL's Mission and Values.Work with other departments to ensure collaboration and clarity for shared goals agency-wide. Work with senior and executive management and peers for agency, department, and other strategy development and execution planning.Rule compliance and quality assurance responsibilities.Budget management, training, and compliance.Create a learning and trusting environment.Model, promote, and ensure person-centered practices.Provide administrative on-call support in assigned rotation and ensure that all supervised team members are also providing on-call support in assigned rotation.Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift and transfer 25 pounds minimum.Appropriately and efficiently responding to emergencies and / or crises (including but not limited to the use of physical intervention).Certifications and Training :
Must pass required DHS background check and Protective Service Investigations.This position requires a valid driver's license and to be eligible to drive agency vehicles.Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screening for illegal substances in Oregon.Complete and maintain all certifications as required by the position, PCL, and other governing agencies.Must be able to obtain and maintain certification to a satisfactory level in Oregon Intervention System (training provided if hired).Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR (training provided if hired).Complete all duties related to being a Mandatory Abuse Reporter.New hire orientation and on-site training must be completed within 60 days of hire.Equal Opportunity Employer
