Job description∙ Be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. ∙ Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen (includes marijuana) and background check ∙ Pass a DOT physical ∙ Be able to safely lift / carry up to 75 lbs. and up to 150 lbs. with hand truck ∙ Must be willing and able to work weekends (required for all drivers) ∙ Have reliable transportation to and from work, punctual and dependable ∙ Be able to climb stairs and work in all types of weather ∙ Able to complete up to 175 stops per day - comfortable with strenuous activity, including frequent work in hot weather ∙ Have a strong work ethic and commitment to safety Daily Responsibilities : ∙ Operate your vehicle safely at all times ∙ Delivery and pick up packages at businesses and residences. ∙ Conduct daily inspection of vehicle (including fluid levels) ∙ Loading vehicle and organize daily route ∙ Work independently and as part of a team ∙ Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with managers ∙ Accurately use scanners and follow FedEx delivery procedures ∙ Ensure all packages are delivered in a timely and secure manner Paid training will be provided that covers delivery / route procedures, standard equipment operations, customer service skills, and driver safety.
