About this Job : General Summary of Position Independently licensed professional who provides clinical assessments and short-term psychotherapy for individuals with psychiatric disorders. Primary treatment modalities are group and individual therapy with family meetings / therapy as the need arises. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provides individual and group psychotherapy services using evidence-based treatment modalities. Develops and implements treatment plans and monitors treatment progress. Maintains current knowledge certification and licensure. Identifies personal learning needs and initiates actions to address these needs. Attends continuing education program in order to maintain certification. Attends hospital sponsored training programs as required by the department. Completes all mandatory requirements certifications and licensure within allotted timeframe for completion (CPR license PPD competencies age specifics etc) Consistently displays professionalism in interactions with patients and families staff and physicians. Minimal Qualifications Education Master's degree in Social Work Psychology or Counseling required and Doctoral degree in Social Work Psychology or Counseling preferred Experience 1-2 years Mental health experience required Licenses and Certifications LCSW-C - Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical in the State of Maryland Upon Hire required or LCPC-Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland Upon Hire required or MFT - Marriage & Family Therapist License in the State of Maryland Upon Hire required Knowledge Skills and Abilities Must have good knowledge of use of electronic medical record systems. Must possess the ability to work on clinical teams and to balance provision of direct clinical care with care coordination and collaborative clinical care. Must have experience with tele-mental health service delivery. Must have a strong background in provision of evidenced-based brief and long-term psychotherapy and behavior change modalities. Must also have knowledge awareness and skills in multicultural psychotherapy provision and providing culturally informed mental health care to traditionally underserviced groups. This position has a hiring range of : USD $60,632.00 - USD $107,494.00 / Yr.
