Job description

Procurement Coordinator

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a procurement coordinator to join their team. This procurement coordinator will be responsible for purchasing, invoices, and vendor management through SAP. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of procurement experience and working knowledge of SAP.

What you'll do :

  • Collaborate with Logistics and Procurement Managers to identify inventory requirements for materials.
  • Execute purchase orders and coordinate shipments, adapting product mixes when necessary to expedite delivery.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and provide status updates to management.
  • Coordinate product receipt with Freight Forwarders and Warehouse Managers.
  • Reconcile invoices from vendors and forwarders before submission to accounts payable.
  • Work with customer service and freight forwarders to reroute bulk shipments when necessary.
  • Create and manage purchase orders to meet warehouse requirements from third-party blenders.
  • Handle the creation and placement of purchase orders for all goods and services, especially those requested by various department managers.
  • Create and maintain vendor records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Develop and extend material master records for all new and existing materials, in coordination with relevant managers.

What you'll bring :

  • 5+ years of procurement experience
  • Experience with SAP
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors.
  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and able to handle confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to perform inventory audits and forecast stock needs proactively

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Linden, NJ. The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $38.46 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
