The Payroll Specialist will support the organization's payroll functions, ensuring payroll related processes are administered on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Administers processing of organization's payroll and collects payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.Handles the processing of employee, timesheet, benefits, and other payroll information in the payroll system; information may include employees' hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.Assists in proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.Collaborates with Senior Payroll Manager on accurate and timely processing of payroll related paperwork, including wage garnishments and tax agency notices.Issues manual or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll error, direct deposit returns or final discharge.Manages the payroll email inbox (FreshDesk ticketing system) and responds to payroll inquiries within 24-48 hours, creating an excellent employee experience.Supports Senior Payroll Manager with biweekly, monthly, off-cycle, quarter-end, and year-end payroll processing.Prepares payroll reports for senior management or auditing purposes, upon request.Participate in problem solving and special projects within the Payroll Department.Other duties as assigned by supervisor on an as needed basis.Qualifications
2-3 years of payroll experience required.High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.Workday and ADP Smart compliance experience preferred.Travel
While primarily a remote position, employee is required to attend monthly in office cadence. From time to time, additional in-person team meetings may be required as well.
