Position Summary :
The Project Manager serves as the primary leader in the field, and is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and team development on site. The Project Manager will lead the project team in the construction of the entire Project. This position is responsible to build and maintain a strong relationship with the subcontractors, owner, architect and engineers.
- Candidate must be willing to travel or relocate for the duration of a project within the Midwest region. Traveling or relocation incentives provided per company policy.
Key Responsibilities :
This position is responsible to build and maintain a strong relationship with the subcontractors, owner, architect and engineers.Participate with Project Director and Estimating in development of a Project Chart of AccountsDevelop detailed Project Contract status reportPartner with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics planMaintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy / Owner contractOversee the pay request processMonitor project costs and Job Cost ReportAnalyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reportsImplement and monitor training of all staff personnelReview and approve material, forming system and equipment needsAssist Estimating in bidding projectsLead the project’s quality processDevelop, schedule and lead project close-out processesDevelop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core valuesImplement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO / Affirmative Action Programs.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required7+ years of experience on highly complex and related commercial, healthcare, industrial, or related construction projectsAdvanced knowledge of construction principles / practices requiredExperienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and / or self-perform work preferredExperience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entitiesExcellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skillsMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
For Colorado locations only, in accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB19-085), we are including McCarthy’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of a range of entry level base compensation at the time of the posting. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Given the dynamic nature of the large-scale commercial construction industry, a candidate’s project portfolio and background can change the role and compensation for which that candidate might be qualified. The title and pay range for this role could change based on candidate qualifications and experience. Pay Range : $105,000 - 120,000.
