Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. This armed position requires a strong sense of integrity and teamwork, as you play a key role in supporting a secure environment for all individuals at the location.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 09 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Tue 09 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Wed 09 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Thur 09 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Fri 09 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any security-related concerns or hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment.
  • Follow all company protocols and client-specific instructions relevant to an armed patrol post in a government setting.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license as required by applicable state and / or local laws.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
