Our client, a nonprofit in K–12 education, is looking for an Implementation Product Manager to join their team. This role will play an intricate part in the company’s growth as they will be responsible for building, maintaining and updating an implementation roadmap aligned to the company’s strategy, vision, and goals. They will drive strategic plans with internal and external partners, define implementation requirements, and deliver solutions that strengthen the professional learning experience. This role reports to the Senior Director, Product Strategy and will work in partnership with a small cross functional team.
The right fit for this role is someone who listens to users and stakeholders, adjusts quickly, and turns insight into action. They take initiative to implement change when needed, maintain momentum as details emerge and make informed, inclusive decisions that recognize the team’s shared success.
This position is remote based. Limited travel required.
Key Responsibilities :
Product Strategy and Improvement
- Set goals that align with company’s OKRs that focus on the centralized implementation hub and market adoption of services.
- Translate organizational strategy into concrete implementation and professional learning offerings that make adoption and classroom practice easier and more effective.
- Engage in discovery to identify opportunities to strengthen implementation supports and professional learning offerings.
- Drive the lifecycle of implementation-focused products to ensure they build educator confidence, align with curriculum, and reflect integrity of implementation.
- Partner closely within the Product Engineering and Innovation Department and cross-departmentally to design supports that are practical, inspiring, and rooted in evidence-based practices.
- Ensure implementation products serve teachers, instructional coaches, math leaders, and administrators.
- Use market data and customer feedback to create products that meet current needs.
- Create purposeful documentation that aligns stakeholders and clarifies implementation product direction.
Quality Assurance and Optimization
Ensure content and platform teams deliver implementation supports that are embedded in content and simple for users to access with clear, measurable results.Develop and implement the product roadmap that contains clear phases, goals, and success criteria.Collaborate with other teams to refine work processes and solve problems to ensure timely completion of deliverables.Ensure focused, high-value work that empowers educators, drives adoption ease, and classroom impact.Commit to seeking feedback to address blind spots and ensure high-quality product delivery.Develop or inform standard operating procedures for future successful product roadmap implementations.Look across systems and processes to recommend scalable improvements.Assess issues and determine when to escalate them to mitigate risks and maintain product alignment with organizational priorities.Relationship Management
Promote a shared understanding of the product roadmap across the PEI Department, internal and external partners, and applicable contractors.Support cross-departmental communications with all partners for clarity and cohesion, information sharing, knowledge transfer, and alignment on deliverables.Treat the educational community as professionals with valuable insight that can help elevate the products and services.Surface risks and trade-offs early, ensuring confidence in implementation direction.Pursue opportunities to build a deep understanding of our client’s partner ecosystem to make informed build, buy, and partner decisions.Champion a collaborative and transparent environment, promoting purpose-driven work and flexibility whenever possible.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred5+ years of product management experience in professional learning design, instructional coaching, or education services (Preferred experience in K–12 edtech, publishing, or nonprofit sectors, or direct classroom experience).Success in creating professional learning or implementation supports from discovery through delivery that provide measurable results.Experience creating implementation that centers equity and culturally responsive pedagogy.Proactive self-starter who can work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction and supervision.Has a teacher and learner mindset, curious, asks good questions, and makes decisive, mission aligned decisions but is inclusive in the process.Proficiency with cloud-based systems, especially Google Workspace applications, Asana, Notion, Slack, and Zoom.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver clear, concise information tailored to specific and varied audiences.Comfort working in a small company environment.Experience working in a remote team environment.Able to travel as needed to meet with customers or attend company events (expected travelAdheres to company travel policies and procedures, including budget constraints and expense reporting requirements.Must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the USA.Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of different distributions models (direct to market, partnership, etc)Experience developing or implementing math curriculum-based products.Familiarity with research-based best practices for curriculum-based professional learning.Understanding of adult learning principles and educator needs.Experience aligning professional learning to curriculum products.Comfort exploring ways AI can be used to improve processes and accelerate time-to-market.Benefits :
