Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a weekend shift position, requiring 2 years of MRI experience on Siemens equipment and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a short-term acute care setting with a small department featuring two MRI scanners
  • Shift schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM
  • On-call required one night per week
  • Caseload is approximately 12-20 exams per day
  • Potential float to a sister facility within the system as needed
  • Patient population includes many geriatric and obese patients
  • Department uses Siemens Vida 3T and Siemens 1.5T scanners
  • EPIC and Sectra are used for documentation; EPIC experience preferred
  • This is not a trauma center
  • Primary responsibilities include performing MRI exams and screening patients for implants
  • Must be comfortable working with geriatric and obese patient populations
  • Will be required to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Pewter scrubs are required
  • No parking fees for staff
  • No first-time travelers accepted
  • Return employees must have a one-year gap prior to returning as a traveler
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract, and no time off permitted during the first week
  • All travelers must complete modules prior to start, and fit testing is required with appropriate facial hair for sealing

    • Requirements

  • Current BLS and ARRT certification, with ARRT Advanced certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years MRI experience on Siemens XA 60 platform or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Siemens MRI equipment and in screening implants (no pacemakers performed)
  • Valid state license required at time of consideration if applicable
  • No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
  • Must be positive, friendly, and able to work well within a team
