Radiology Technician

Job Role Overview

A Radiology Technologist is a healthcare professional responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to aid physicians in diagnosing illnesses, diseases, or injuries.

The successful candidate will be required to execute radiologic services in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, providing consultation advice to patients and radiology professionals.

Duties include delivering patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures, interacting with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistently with the values of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Positioning radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with necessary detail or contrast to assist with diagnosis and treatment.

Explaining radiographic procedure to the patient, obtaining complete and accurate history relevant to the examination to be performed.

Communicating effectively with the patient, providing staff and patient protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards.

Maintaining x-ray equipment by performing scheduled cleaning / tests and documenting results.

Performing other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager, including those related to quality assurance and / or control.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following :

Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program or current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R).

Current validated Registry from ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT) is preferred.

CPR Certification is required.

Competencies

Knowledge of RIS systems.

Knowledge of PACS systems.

Ability to work day shift, Monday through Friday.
