Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to manage and optimize computer systems and local area networks (LANs). The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in computer systems, including three (3) years of solid system and network administration experience. This role requires expertise in system performance tuning, user optimization, troubleshooting, and working with relational database management systems and third- and fourth-generation programming languages.

As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining system efficiency, implementing hardware and software configurations, and ensuring the smooth operation of systems in a UNIX environment with specific experience in SUN / Solaris operating systems.

To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active secret security clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform system and local area network (LAN) administration functions, including system performance tuning and user optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and network-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Install and configure software and hardware components to meet system requirements.
• Work with third- and fourth-generation programming languages and relational database management systems.
• Analyze computer network and system performance to recommend and implement improvements.
• Manage and optimize system performance within a UNIX environment, with a specific focus on SUN / Solaris operating systems.
• Apply database theory to system administration and ensure effective database management practices.
• Provide technical expertise to support system and network enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications :

Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.

Eight (8) years of directly related experience may substitute for an associate degree.

At least five (5) years of experience in computer systems, including three (3) years in system and network administration.
