Candidates From Third Party Vendors Will Not Be Considered

This individual will work a 3pm to 11 : 30 pm shift and an on-call rotation for weekends. On call once every 4 weeks. Only on call Friday night to Monday Morning. Only asked to work on the weekend if a designated assembly line is running on the weekend.

Intermediate Application Support provides technical and project support for plant IT applications and daily activities for the IT Complex. Assists in support of corporate IT sponsored application integration, change management, incident management and problem resolution, meeting the objectives of manufacturing while minimizing lost production due to IT related issues.

The functions and associated responsibilities of this position impact Manufacturing and IT at the plant on a daily basis. By executing and implementing existing standards and best practice solutions, the application support technician for the Complex aiding in a stable and robust environment for our manufacturing business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide line of business support interfacing with IT team, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, and the local Union. Provide day to day production support for IT systems, manufacturing and IT launch activities and upgrades while executing the IT strategic direction. Perform implementation and 1st level support of mission critical plant applications. This includes a functional knowledge of all plant applications used by local plants, ability to troubleshoot system issues, manage and / or configure application and application access.
  • Provide launch support related to planning, engineering, design, testing, approvals, funding and integration of IT systems while working with Manufacturing Engineering and IT launch teams. Responsible to integrate IT systems during launch from concept into the production environment while following appropriate change management procedures.
  • Monitor IT complex systems maintaining all activities - facility maintenance. Assist IT hardware and software, including inventory, asset management, repair, disposal, warranty and replacement. Assist in planning and execution of Data Center audit, compliance, and remediation. Contribute to the analysis of business processes (removed make recommendations for improvement). Interface with plant and IT management to obtain requirements and resolve related issues.
  • Adhere to governance by maintaining IT standards and guidelines within the local IT infrastructure. Ensure all technologies that are incorporated into the physical environment are approved for use. Follow change control, processes and changes. Ensure that service performance agreements are met and issues are escalated as appropriate.
  • Fulfill goals and requirements as defined by local plant management and the IT organization as required (Kaizens, suggestions, etc.).

  • Experience / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred
  • Project Management experience is a plus
