Overview

Raytheon is an industry leader in Stealth Technology. We are involved in all phases of development, production, and maintenance of Low Observable (LO) weapon systems. We are currently looking for Stealth / Low Observable / Radar Cross Section (RCS) / Signature Management / Survivability Engineers to work on challenging, state of the art technical projects. We are seeking Engineers to join the Signature Management & Technology Team. This will be onsite at our Tucson, AZ facility. At Raytheon, you will be part of a team whose responsibilities span the full lifecycle of the product—from initial conceptual design to modeling and analysis, from component to missile level RCS testing, and production support to maintainability.

Position : Computational Electro-Magnetic (CEM) LO Engineer

Location : Tucson, AZ (Onsite) | Security Clearance : DoD Secret; U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain / maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance are required.

What You Will Do

  • Stealth- design & analysis using computational electromagnetics (CEM).
  • Perform RCS predictions and understand limitations of Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM).
  • Deliverables include test documentation, data analysis, anomaly resolution, results documentation, and presentation of results to internal and external customers.
  • Work in integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products and aid in assessing system performance.
  • Document all activities pertaining to data analysis, design trades, prediction results, and related work.
  • Collaborate within IPTs and support all aspects of the team's design efforts.
  • Present results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to internal and external customers.
  • Occasional travel for business, training, and conferences.
  • Provide effective personal interaction and collaboration with technical teams and customers.
  • IPT leadership and project management responsibilities, including identifying links and potential impact on projects, programs, or systems.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). Five (5) years of engineering experience, including Low Observable (LO) technology or Radar Cross Section or Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM); or 3 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with LO design, analysis, and validation methodologies.
  • Experience with RCS analysis tools such as X-Patch, SENTRi, McMoM2D, FEKO, HFSS, CST, or other CEM packages.
  • Experience with CAD software packages such as NX, CATIA, CREO, or ProE.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
  • Qualifications We Prefer

  • Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals.
  • Experience with infrared signature analysis and control.
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical languages.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with peers, executives, and customers.
  • Advanced Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or related engineering discipline.

    Relocation Eligibility : Onsite roles are primarily onsite where essential to product development.

    Salary range : 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. This is a good faith estimate; offers depend on role, experience, location, education, and skills. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, FSA, EAP, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, PTO, and holidays. Some benefits depend on the business unit and collective bargaining status. Short-term and long-term incentive programs may apply for eligible roles.
