What You'll Do

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in alignment with Allied Universal standards at the shelter location.

Provide customer service by assisting residents, staff, and visitors with inquiries and general support.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.

Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized individuals on the premises.

Assist with access control, verifying identification as required, and monitoring entry and exit points.

Participate in emergency response activities as appropriate, including following evacuation routes and supporting staff and residents during incidents.

Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
