Purpose of the Role :

The PRN Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing the dispensing of mail-order medications, providing clinical consultations, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards. Acting as a trusted source of pharmaceutical knowledge, the Pharmacist works to identify, resolve, and prevent medication-related issues through collaboration with veterinarians, clients, and pharmacy technicians.

This role is on-site in our Fishers, Indiana location. Shifts are 7 AM – 4 PM but we would be open to partial shifts if we reach out and a partial is all you’re available for. Our working days are Monday through Friday, and we are closed on major holidays. This is a per diem role with no minimum hours guarantee.

Key Responsibilities :

• Patient Consultation : Offer guidance and counseling to patients on prescription usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Clinical Oversight : Monitor medication therapies for safety and effectiveness, recommending adjustments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all pharmacy operations align with federal, state, and local regulations, including accurate documentation and record-keeping.
• Collaboration : Partner with pharmacy technicians and healthcare professionals to support patient care and improve workflow efficiency.
• Continuous Education : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy practices, new medications, and industry trends through ongoing education and training.
