We are looking for a skilled Procurement Analyst to join our client's team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will serve as a critical link between procurement efforts and various internal departments, including executive leadership, engineering, sales, and manufacturing. Your expertise will be essential for managing high-value programs and ensuring efficient project execution while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with internal teams during the bidding phase to develop procurement strategies and plans.
- Evaluate contract specifications and bills of materials to identify and prequalify suitable vendors.
- Analyze vendor quotes to ensure scope completeness and negotiate agreements to secure optimal terms.
- Facilitate the transition of procurement documents and knowledge from the bidding phase to project teams.
- Incorporate market intelligence, such as pricing trends and logistical considerations, into procurement strategies.
- Review and interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, and project schedules to ensure procurement alignment.
- Travel to project sites, manufacturers, and vendors as necessary to oversee procurement processes.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and alternative solutions, including material and labor efficiencies.
- Monitor evolving compliance requirements and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
- Manage post-award procurement implementation to align with project objectives.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of nine years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and training.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage cross-functional relationships.
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and negotiating contracts with OEMs, subcontractors, and fabricators.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities to facilitate clear and effective interactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Excel for managing procurement workflows.
- Familiarity with accounting principles to support procurement-related financial tasks.
- Experience in corporate procurement, supply chain management, logistics, and contract negotiations.
