As a Welder at Lantech, you will be a member of a team that skillfully fabricates the steel components of our Stretch wrappers. Production welders at Lantech are tasked with using their metalworking expertise to lay the foundation on which our machines are built.

Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do :

Work with a team in the welding of spare parts and retrofit fabrications for machines already in the field. Job requires the ability to read basic fabrication drawings and weld within fabrication fixtures. Light machining may be required at times using a saw, drill, tap and shear. Will be using a wide range of hand and power tools to complete task. Requires manual dexterity to maneuver equipment and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be willing / able to work overtime as needed to complete projects to meet customer demand. Must be willing / able to learn small assembly work to balance the workload of the RE / SP team. Must be willing and able to drive a forklift, including certification

As a Retrofit / Spare Parts Welder, you will :

• Weld mild steel in order to fabricate the scale base fabrication
• Load and unload fixtures for welding; pushing carts with parts
• Grind all surface welds at a level to not be seen after the painting is complete
• Run radial arm drill press and saw
• Read a tape measure
• Measure and cut parts
• Backfill other cells as needed

Physical requirements include standing for 9.5 hours each day, manual dexterity to maneuver equipment for welding as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.
