ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans.

Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences.

Ensure accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses according to policy.

Participate in the patient rehabilitation program by utilizing the nursing process.

Initiate discharge planning and patient education on the day of admission.

Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.

Guide and supervise ancillary nursing personnel while promoting a positive work environment.

Maintain a focus on personal and environmental safety in all actions.

Assume charge responsibilities as needed to support unit functions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

BLS certification required prior to the first shift.

ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific to designated locations).

Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required.

ICU / Critical Care experience is highly desired.
