(Your job as a Vessel Operator handling DRY BULK CARGO vessels)
- To read charter party’s and understand each voyage, or time-charter, terms, and conditions.
- To make voyage plans after studying the details of vessels, ports, nature of the cargo, fuel oil prices etc.
- To monitor vessels positions, speed and bunker consumption.
- To make bunkering plans considering each vessel’s best cargo intake, fuel oil prices etc.
- To estimate vessels schedules, closely contacting with agents and inform same to the operating and chartering teams.
- To contact all related parties (charterers, vessel’s masters, agents, vessel’s owners etc.) and negotiate to bring us the best results.
- To make monthly voyage profit / loss statements for each vessel, with comparisons against your original plan for each item (intake / freight or hire, port and canal costs, bunkers, voyage duration etc.).
- To perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by the Company.
