Provide comprehensive legal advice and services to environmental claim center regarding insurance coverage issues, litigation management, compliance, regulatory inquiries, contract drafting and negotiation, and emerging trends.

• Prepare written legal coverage opinions and other coverage advice.
• Advise on possible claims outcomes, awards and settlements.
• Research legal principles and precedents within Toxic Tort, Environmental, Pollution, and Asbestos related cases.
• Prepare and review motions, briefs, pleadings, legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda.
• Propose, prepare, respond to, and evaluate oral and written discovery.
• Develop defense positions and legal strategies, including engaging and managing counsel as required.
• Review and approve invoices for retained counsel to ensure compliance with corporate retention agreement.
• Prepare and review annual legal fees budget for assigned cases.
• Provide counsel and coordination on compliance issues and regulatory inquiries, including market conduct examinations.
• Develop and deliver training to claim staff.
