Manufacturing Manager

The Manufacturing Manager is a key member of the plant leadership team, responsible for driving safety, quality, service, and cost performance in alignment with the business plan. Reporting to the Plant Director, this role oversees the manufacturing operations of a 655,000 sq. ft. facility with a production cost of $175 million, managing 7 direct reports and 150 unionized hourly associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly production to meet targets efficiently.
- Optimize labor utilization and reduce costs through improved operator flexibility.
- Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Materials, Engineering, and Quality teams to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Drive operator-led process control and skill development.
- Analyze and act on KPIs to maintain performance and address gaps.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop and execute training plans for salaried and hourly staff.

Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (from an accredited 4-year program) RequiredMinimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing RequiredProven success working with cross-functional teams (CI, Quality, Engineering, Materials, Production)Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principlesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
