Manager Information Technology
The Manager Information Technology directs all types of IT work across the organization, including monitoring budget spend. This role participates in determining the IT needs of the organization and is responsible for implementing policies to fulfill the organization's short-term goals. An important component of this role is identifying and removing technological obstacles for staff in the IT department, such as recommending selection of IT equipment and planning system upgrades. This role is also responsible for the implementation of policies, goals, and strategies to achieve short-term results in the IT department.
Essential Job Function
- Directs the successful delivery of Information Technology services for the organizations hardware, software and network technologies.
- Recommends the selection of IT equipment, applications, and devices that will best enable the department to reach its goals.
- Coordinates with Finance to ensure accurate budget accounting and monitors the IT departments budget spend.
- Liases with IT user groups to implement departmental programs, determine IT needs, and resolve difficult problem situations.
- Works with functional team project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
- Reviews cost/benefit analyses for proposed IT projects as input to the organizations IT roadmap.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Bachelors Degree

Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Platform-specific certification obtained within 6 months; 12 months will be allowed only if necessary to meet certification requirements.
