We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Nottingham, Maryland. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records while supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Responsibilities :
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached and properly coded.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system after obtaining appropriate approvals and process payments accordingly.
- Manage accounts receivable by matching payments to invoices, depositing funds, and applying payments to customer accounts.
- Prepare and distribute late notices for overdue accounts and scan deposit slips and check copies into the system.
- Process weekly payrolls, including deductions, tax updates, garnishments, and direct deposit changes.
- Generate annual W-2 forms, quarterly vacation payrolls, holiday payrolls, and other specialized payroll processes.
- Assist in ordering office supplies to maintain efficiency in day-to-day operations.
- Provide payroll-related support, such as handling unemployment claims.
- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting and Dynamics systems a plus!
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to process invoices and payments efficiently while adhering to company policies.
- Familiarity with payroll software and handling payroll deductions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
