As a Director of Shipt Media Operations located in Birmingham, AL, Minneapolis, MN or San Francisco, CA you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of our retail media capabilities and campaigns, ensuring optimal performance, quality, and timely delivery. This position requires a strategic leader who can balance operational execution with cross-functional collaboration, process optimization, and data-driven insights. You will also lead efforts in identifying new revenue streams and collaborate on product development to ensure we stay at the forefront of commerce media innovation. While no two days are the same, you'll play the key role in leading operational strategy and day-to-day execution. You'll oversee campaign delivery and performance optimization, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure success. You'll collaborate with Product and Revenue to support the development and implementation of new initiatives, while also conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy. Partnering with the Data Science team, you'll help build reporting dashboards and deliver actionable insights to both internal stakeholders and clients. You'll continuously monitor KPIs to ensure all operational activities align with business objectives and client expectations. In addition, you'll build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, technology partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign execution and operational efficiency.
What You'll Need to Be Successful
You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
You have 10+ years of experience in operations management, digital advertising, or retail media, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and campaign performance.
You have strong experience in managing cross-functional teams, improving processes, and optimizing media campaigns across multiple channels (e.g., Sponsored Product Ads, Display, Video, etc).
You have expertise in data analysis, reporting tools, and campaign optimization strategies.
You have familiarity with ad tech platforms, programmatic media buying, and retail media networks.
You have exceptional leadership and team management skills with experience in driving cross-functional collaboration.
You have strong knowledge of retail media ecosystems, campaign management, and operational workflows.
You have the ability to utilize data to inform decision-making and continuously improve operational performance.
You are proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Google Analytics, and media buying platforms (e.g., Amazon Advertising, Criteo, Google Ads).
You have excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
Work Arrangement
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units based on role.

$144,000-$289,000
All other locations :
$120,000-$241,000
Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
