Job Description

Seeking a skilled Welder and Fitter to join our team, responsible for the structural layout and fitting of steel according to blueprints. You will be involved in fitting, laying out, and fabricating structural steel projects, performing tack welds to fabricate steel pieces for welders. Proficiency in MIG welding structural steel in both vertical and horizontal positions is required, with certification in 3G welding preferred, though training will be provided.

Pay Rate : $20-$27 / hour based on experience

Shift : 1st shift Monday-Friday 7am-3 : 30pm with Saturdays for overtime

Responsibilities

• Perform structural layout and fitting of steel according to blueprints.
• Fit, lay out, and fabricate structural steel projects.
• Conduct tack welds to fabricate steel pieces for welders.
• MIG weld structural steel in vertical and horizontal positions.
• Operate machining equipment like plasma cutters, shears, and presses.
• Read blueprints using digital devices such as iPads.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

Small family-owned welding / fabrication shop, exposed to varying temperatures. Collaborate with 15-20 others and operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00 / hr.
