Substation Staff Engineer III

Verdantas is seeking a

• Substation Engineer
• to take on the challenge of designing new power substations and upgrading existing facilities from 12kV to 500kV. You'll be responsible for utilizing accepted practices and standards to ensure that all designs meet the highest level of quality and safety. This is an
• onsite
• supervisory role with direct reports, including engineers and designers. You will be reporting to our
• Fort Worth, TX
• office.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 6+ years of direct experience in substation physical and electrical engineering
• Professional Engineering license in any state, and the ability to acquire further licensure in other states
• A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the education and experience requirements
• Solid comprehension and application of design software, including MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Proficient with Windows-based software such as Word and Excel, which are frequently used to develop project deliverables
• Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs
• Ability to work in a team environment with others, including, but not limited to, Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and drafters in multi-disciplinary groups
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
