Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 20252026 school year in a K-12 setting located in Middletown, NY. This part-time role requires providing speech and language therapy to preschool and school-aged students within the school environment, focusing on individualized student needs aligned with educational goals.
Responsibilities :
- Assess, diagnose, and deliver therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans consistent with IEP goals and state education standards.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support and monitor student progress.
- Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and contribute professional recommendations.
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of services rendered, student progress, and compliance.
- Facilitate the generalization of communication skills across academic and social settings.
Qualifications :
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Current New York State SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CF) candidates will be considered.Experience with CSE processes and Department of Education requirements preferred.Prior school-based or pediatric experience highly desirable.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Location :
