Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a MT or compact RN license and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a general surgery operating room within a hospital
  • Care for surgical patients across a variety of procedures
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts and on-call requirements
  • Use of Epic charting system for documentation
  • May be required to float to other departments within competency and qualification scope
  • Responsible for independent and delegated nursing functions including assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care
  • Performs health teaching and counseling, as well as supportive and restorative therapies
  • May be required to float to other units as business needs dictate
  • On-call responsibilities may be assigned during scheduled shifts
  • Specific background check and drug screening procedures must be completed prior to start
  • Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided during onboarding

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license in Montana or a compact state is required at the time of consideration
  • Minimum of 1 year Operating Room nursing experience required
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school required; BSN preferred
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required, with ACLS / NRP / PALS as appropriate for the unit
  • Experience with Epic EMR required
  • All certifications must be current and not expire prior to start
