Start Date : November 9, 2025

End Date : February 7, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 4x10 hour day shifts (6 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM)

Hours per Week : 40

Weekend Requirement : 1 weekend per month

On Call Requirement : 1 day of call per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910 - $2050 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state (required for New Mexico nursing jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN or surgical nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)

Verbal CPI certification required upon hire

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Basic computer proficiency

OR RN Responsibilities

Provide independent, high-quality perioperative care to surgical patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)

Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and management to achieve optimal patient outcomes and maintain compliance with hospital policies

Maintain clinical competency and pursue ongoing professional development in the operating room environment

Ensure patient safety by practicing the five rights of medication administration

Promote positive public relations for the hospital and participate in community healthcare initiatives

Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork with diverse patients, families, and colleagues

Act as a patient advocate, upholding confidentiality and respecting cultural and religious beliefs

Participate in quality improvement and compliance activities as required

Exhibit accountability, strong time management, and commitment to the hospital’s mission
