Staff Accountant

Job Description

An electronics company is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant. This team comprises 2 Accounts Payable Specialists and a Senior Staff Accountant. Need someone who is hardworking and has strong tenure. The right candidate who this position as used Sage 100 or a similar software and is proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs).

Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support organizational planning.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
• Conduct tax preparation and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data for reporting purposes.
• Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks and PeopleSoft for record keeping and reporting.
• Support governmental accounting processes as needed, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.
• Perform regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
